Baseball Card Display and Storage Tips

Here are some quick tips for protecting your vintage baseball cards.

• Wash and thoroughly dry hands before handling cards and other vintage collectables
• Do not examine cards on surfaces with beverages or other items that could spill
• Never leave or display baseball cards in direct sunlight
• Avoid displaying cards in rooms with excessive indirect sunlight
• Use incandescent, not florescent, lights in rooms where cards are displayed
• Rotate cards for display several times per year to minimize exposure
• Keep baseball cards in protective sleeves and toploaders
• Avoid places with extreme temperature or humidity changes like attics and garages for long-term storage
• Use silica gel packs in storage and when cards are on display to help minimize changes in humidity
• Air-tight storage cases protect cards against humidity and water damage
